ABOUT THAMES VALLEY RADIO
Broadcasting 24/7 news, talk, and weather directly to Norwich and New England.
OUR STATION MISSION
Thames Valley Radio is committed to serving as the absolute digital home of Eastern Connecticut. Through severe winter blizzards or local utility failures, we preserve our broadcast capabilities to provide life-saving emergency notifications, transparent municipal updates, and diverse talk formats.
AROUND THE CLOCK COVERAGE
Unlike syndicated-only networks, Thames Valley Radio blends national talk programs with intense local coverage. We track school closings, municipal roadworks, and local sports matches to keep Norwich, Windham, and New London Counties connected.
STATION HISTORY & BROADCAST FACILITY
Thames Valley Radio operates from the **Blizzard Broadcast Center** located in Norwich, Connecticut. Our facility was established to provide dedicated regional coverage to Eastern Connecticut communities, filling a void left by large national syndicates. Over the years, the station has grown to encompass multi-frequency digital streams, live mobile networks, and podcasts.
Our newsroom operates around the clock, drawing feeds from the Associated Press, local municipal dispatchers, and state emergency committees. We maintain strict compliance with all FCC broadcasting guidelines, maintaining our position as the trusted voice of the community.
